Welcome to Castle Dental Practice, Barnard Castle

Thank you to all our patients who have been understanding of the altered way dentistry is being delivered at the moment, and perhaps for some time still to come.

As you will be aware we opened on Monday 8th June for emergencies only.

This was a phased approach and we have now moved forward to recommencing those open courses of treatment, but urgent dental needs are still our priority as directed by our Chief Dental Officer.

Therefore we are still prioritizing those of you who have a dental emergency.

If you develop a dental problem, please phone the practice. You will be triaged by the receptionist, who will endeavour to help you, and then receive a call back off the dentist.

We are NOT carrying out routine check ups at the moment due to COVID-19, and we have no date when these will resume at present.

For anyone with a routine check up due this year we are in the processing of cancelling your appointments or if you have had a routine appointment during lock down cancelled, we please ask you to call us in the New Year for an update.

If you have had a treatment appointment cancelled we will be in contact to rearrange. Please do NOT phone the practice, we will contact you.

Please be aware the front door will remain locked.

For those patients attending the practice, please be aware of the following changes -

* You may be contacted by phone within 24 hours of your appointment for a Covid-19 Screening questionnaire.

* Please wait in your car or outside the practice and wait for us to phone you at your appointment time.

As PPE is in short supply at the moment, if you have your own appropriate mask, we would be very grateful if you would wear it. Otherwise we will supply you with a mask

* You will then be met at the door by a nurse in full PPE, she will take your temperature, be asked to hand sanitize and offered a mask, you will also be asked again about your Covid status.

* Toilets will be out of use, and please limit personal belongings.

* Please attend alone, or one adult to accompany a child/children.

* Payment will be taken over the phone prior to appointment.

* If you need to pay cash, we ask that you bring it in a clear bag and the correct amount.

We hope this is of help, and we really really hope to see you all back in normal circumstances sooner rather than later!

We will keep you informed of any future developments.

Thank you
